How we rank headphones
Every product on this site goes through the same process. Here's exactly how we do it — no mystery, no black box.
Amazon reviews
We start with Amazon. Star rating, total review count, and recent review trends all factor in. A product with 60,000 reviews at 4.6 stars tells a very different story than one with 50 reviews at 5 stars.
Web research
We search across the web for independent reviews, forum discussions, and expert opinions. We cross-reference multiple sources to make sure the rankings hold up beyond just Amazon.
Brand documentation
We go directly to manufacturer websites and official product pages to verify specs. Battery life claims, Bluetooth versions, ANC ratings — we check the source, not just the listing.
Critical data points
We look at the specs that actually matter — ANC type, battery life with ANC on, Bluetooth version, multipoint support, mic quality, and build quality. Price vs feature value is always part of the equation.
